Podcast Episode 4: News

And here is yet another AMAZING podcast episode. We thought it was shorter, but it isn’t really. However, we do cover more topics in the same ammount of time.

Among this show’s topics: Yu-Chung talks about his new game – Harvest Mania (and also demonstates his ignorance of such super-important things like RickRolling).

This time we gather to share with you 3 exiting pieces of news with you. All three are about or current game projects. We kick it off with some talk about games like Street Fighter which become a recurring theme of this episode.

Feel free to leave a comment. We are very eager to hear your opinion.
(Pssst, you could really help me out here. You know, I’m fine with how things go but it’s getting increasingly more difficult to motivate the other guys ;-) )

Well someone that likes doom maybe not like Myst. Well, I like both but like Yu-Chung said it’s just boring.
The puzzles are nice, but there is no gameplay; and today the visuals are not outstanding anymore. When I want puzzles I play some survival horror game which has “good” gameplay (well survival horror games of course tend to have bad controls but make you seem more powerless).

Also I agree on Red Faction Guerrilla here. It’s kinda underrated. I don’t like GTA anymore since basically every game since GTA3 is the same, but Red Faction, Prototype and also Infamous are very fun open world games with a different theme.

However I do like games with a good story and a heavy emphasis on story, which Infamous in my opinion delivers while Prototype and Red Faction don’t have that great of a story. But that’s just a minor thing.

Myst – as I said, it seems to be a polarizing Title. BTW, as far as graphics go, the sequel Riven aged much better. They used Hollywood-grade Silicon Graphics workstations back then. I think it shows.

I haven’t played Infamous yet but now that I have a PS3, I think I should pick it up. So many games, so little time. :-(

Hi, the link to the podcast doesn’t appear to be working.

And grats Krystian on the nominations! You better win at least 1 award.

Oops! That’s weird. All the podcasts mysteriously disappeared from the server. I fixed it. Thanks for letting me know!

As for winning – it would be nice but I don’t have any hopes up. The competition is quite awesome. I reached my goal with being nominated already. :-)
